The document of authenticity and evaluation of the card
GRAAD's certificate is an authenticity document of the card, which in the Standard and Digital service is accompanied by a qualitative evaluation of the card.
When completing the order you can choose whether to get the certificate in Italian or in English.
The paper copy, sealed inside the case with the card, allows the collector to see the practical information of immediate utility, while the online digital version, which can be consulted via a verification code or scanning the QR code, contains all the information on the certification.
GR.A.AD does not certify but rejects fake cards, so if a card has been encapsulated with its paper certificate it means that it is certainly authentic. A fake card cannot be enclosed in an official GRAAD's case. You can also check the anti-falsification holographic sticker to further ensure the authenticity of the card against attempts to counterfeit our certificate. Finally, to eliminate any doubts, just carry out an online verification via the unique numeric code or scanning the QR code on the back. In fact a fake card cannot have a digital certificate that matches with it.
The certificate that is encapsulated together with a card in a standard grading is made up of, in the front, the following elements.
the color indicates the type of grading, green for Standard grading, blue for Digital grading
it indicates the level of service, if the grading is standard or simply authentication it is S, if Digital it is D.
in the hexagon there can be a grade from 1 to 10 which expresses the global quality of the card or an acronym (A, AA, AS) for authentic cards with no grade. Read below for more information.
Here is the name of the card game to which the card belongs
here is the name of the set from which the card comes from
the full and specific name of the card and any details (particular rarity, etc)
the card number in the set of origin
the numerical grade is here accompanied by the acronym indicating the global quality of the card
the unique identification code that certifies authenticity and which is used for online verification
in this space the codes related to signatures, particularities or other special conditions will be printed
The number reported within the hexagon on the left in the front of the certificate expresses the overall qualitative evaluation of the card, and it is a grade from 1 to 10. The higher the grade, the better the overall quality status of the card. This evaluation is also reported below at the center of the front of the certificate where the acronym PSA equivalent is also reported which indicates the quality standard reached by the card. If you want to better understand the scale of values and the logic of the grades
If there is no numeric grade in the hexagon but the acronym "AA" (Altered Authentic) and the card is regularly encapsulated, it means that you are facing an authentic card but which has undergone alterations. GRAAD in these cases does not express a qualitative evaluation (the numerical grade) and certifies only the authenticity of the card.
If there is no numeric grade in the hexagon but the acronym "A" (Authentic) and the card is regularly encapsulated, it means that you are facing an authentic card whose owner has not requested a qualitative evaluation for (the numeric grade), GRAAD certifies only the authenticity of the card.
If there is no numerical grade in the hexagon but the acronym "AS" (Authentic Signature) and the card is regularly encapsulated, it means that you are facing an authentic card with a genuine signature whose owner has not requested a qualitative evaluation for (the numeric grade). GRAAD in this case certifies only the authenticity of the card and the signature and the certificate will also report the SGNT acronym as a special code and the name of the author of the signature.
In some cases GRAAD will print a code on the right in the certificate under the card number. This code is to indicate to collectors the presence of special conditions for that card copy, just like it happens for cards signed with authentic signatures, or stamped with official markers of the producers, or showing special printing errors, or also other particular cases.
If you want to know all the existing codes and want to find out how GRAAD will manage these special cases you can read the "special codes" section of the "Certificable cards" page.
Digital grading has the same structure, in all elements, of the Standard one, with the sole exception of
Bonus Graad evaluation, a qualitative evaluation with a value from 0 to 10 indicating the quality at the digital inspection level
Graad's Bonus represents an added value for the professional collector because it is a bonus that expresses the additional quality conditions of a card, that is it evaluates some parameters selected by our team of experts based on a very accurate control and carried out through an innovative method and specific for collectable cards.
The back of the standard and digital grading has the same structure. Here it is.
the unique identification code that certifies authenticity and which is used for online verification
